Our brand spanking new shop boasts not only fresh out the box autumn attire but presents itself a boutique atmosphere appropriate for our flagship store… Its gold gilt detailing and contemporary copper features creates an industrial vibe whilst ensuring a serene shopping environment.
Well if you still needed more coaxing, our endeavor to tap into the new seasons key trends have been accomplished, below we have outlined our favourite autumn/winter buys for 2016…
The Trans Seasonal Star
Not quite ready for the winter coat and thick knitwear? Then we have an assortment of what we like to call “coatigans” that’s right it’s somewhere between a coat and a cardigan, a little more structured than your average “cardi” yet less stifling than your winter coat.. The perfect autumn outwear.
Our three favourite options come from Dutch brand, Yaya…
Above- navy option with grey interior, a relaxed throw on, with super stylish wide cuffs..
Above- look effortless in this neutral and minimalist shape.
Above- to the floor unlined dress coat, perfect for this time of year.
The biggest accessory trend on the catwalk this autumn is the age old saddle bag..
Struggling to justify the big price tags of the catwalk labels then our nod to the latest trend won’t set you back thousands but maintain your place amongst the fashionista’s.
Above- These beauties come from Katie Loxton and are available in autumnal burgundy and classic black, making them a timeless option seeing you through this seasons penchant for semi-circle hand bags and beyond..
Sharp as a pencil
The “it” skirt this autumn/winter is yet another age old wardrobe staple, making this yet another worthwhile trend to invest in..
Above- top-bottom; Max Mara, Christian Dior and Lela Rose
We have a wide selection of flattering pencil skirts, of which celebrate/ help create, the hour glass figure, the desired silhouette this season. Two birds one stone.
Our favourite Masai’s pencil comes with a contemporary twist its strong stripe and zip detail making a confident style statement.
The Mix and Match effect, (Yay..another trend this season!! ) can be created by contrasting this stripe pencil with another print/pattern…
Alternatively, an equally powerful way to pull off the pencil skirt is to make a statement in this faux leather option from Anonyme… Va Va Voom!
The Nipped in treatment
“Rejoice” all those with an hour glass figure, this autumn it is the season of the waist…so if adorning a razor sharp pencil skirt wasn’t a strong enough move, we have an amazing selection of leather belts by Yaya which can give you the “nipped in treatment” take inspiration from this seasons Yves Saint Laurant catwalk show…
Below- Our favourite option is this wide waist belt with circular buckle, its minimal look leaves you no where to hide and wholly embraces the catwalk preference for “the coca-cola bottle” silhouette
RUFFLES, RUCHING AND BOWS
It’s hard not to notice one of the biggest trends this year, frothy ruffles and frills, it’s a trend set to continue.
Above- Milan Fashion Week; the focused on volume with exaggerated shoulders and full sleeves, its frills galore.
So why not invest in one of our exclusive James Lakeland knits? A white body sculpting turtle neck made exceptional through its exaggerated fluted cuffs is a strong look and has been snapped on celebrity Rita Ora, now if its good enough for her then you can count us in..
Along side this statement knit, our must have jacket come dress is both multi functional and exquisite in its 3-dimensional ruffle detail.
It’s monochrome pallet accentuates the ruffle making it our favourite investment piece of the season, classic yet edgy.
Taking inspiration from this autumn/winter catwalk, we have the perfect accessory which can be worn over coats, knitwear dresses and pretty much anything, each individual in design it acts as an instant outfit update and serves to satisfy this seasons penchant for all things frilly.. It comes in a wide selection of fabrics and colours.
